Instrumentation & Control Technician — Mining Project (Abitibi)

$30 to $55/h depending on experience

Position overview

ISL Contrôle is looking for an instrumentation and control technician for an industrial mining project in Abitibi.

Tasks

  • Install, calibrate and commission measurement and control instruments;
  • Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLC) and HMIs;
  • Commission variable‑frequency drives and starters;
  • Maintain and troubleshoot control and instrumentation systems;
  • Document tests and follow OHS standards and internal procedures.

Profile

  • DEC/AEC in instrumentation and control, industrial electronics, electrical engineering or equivalent;
  • Valid driver's licence;
  • QC/ON mining modules (or willingness to complete);
  • Able to work in a mining environment; bilingualism is an asset.

  • QC/ON mining modules (or willingness to complete);
  • Able to work on rotation in a remote area; bilingualism is an asset.
