Service company for electrical equipment, including commissioning, repair and modification of electrical devices.

Tasks

  • Program and commission variable‑frequency drives and starters;
  • Program and calibrate instruments;
  • Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLC) and HMIs;
  • Maintain and troubleshoot control and power systems;
  • Design, build, install and commission control and power systems.

Profile

  • Valid driver's licence;
  • QC/ON mining modules (or willingness to complete);
  • DEC/AEC in industrial electronics, electrical engineering or equivalent;
  • Able to work underground; bilingualism is an asset;
  • Programming experience: 1 year (minimum).

  • Switchboard & protection checks; preventive cleaning of components;
  • Tests: continuity, insulation, grounding;
  • Fault diagnostics; repair/replacement (motors, cables, VFDs);
  • Coordination with mechanics/production; sensor calibration; safety systems control.

Profile

  • Valid driver's licence; QC/ON mining modules (or willingness to complete);
  • Aptitude for underground work; bilingualism an asset;
  • DEP/AEC/Certificate (preferred); 1+ year experience in electrical work.

Position overview

ISL is looking for an industrial electrician to mount, assemble and wire electrical containers, primarily in our shop. The role also includes occasional travel for emergency calls at client sites.

Main responsibilities

  • Mount, assemble and wire electrical containers;
  • Read and interpret electrical plans and schematics;
  • Install, connect and test electrical equipment;
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues;
  • Participate in emergency calls as needed;
  • Collaborate with mechanical, engineering and production teams;
  • Follow OHS standards and internal procedures.

Profile

  • DEP or AEC in electricity (or equivalent);
  • Minimum 1 year of industrial electrical experience;
  • Autonomy, thoroughness and team spirit;
  • Valid driver's licence;
  • Available for occasional travel;
  • French/English bilingualism (asset).
